Not the same as lymphatic drainage
This is the most common mix-up, and it costs money: they are different sessions at different prices.

If your subject is swelling, heavy legs or the weeks after surgery, the right session is lymphatic drainage, and it costs a hundred reais less. Drainage and contouring comes in when moving fluid is not the only goal.
How the session goes
Two techniques inside the same hour: lymphatic drainage and the contouring massage. One takes the swelling down, the other shapes — that is the whole reason this session exists. The light, slow touch of the drainage works on the fluid; the firm pressure of the contouring works on the tissue.
The rest is like any of my appointments: I arrive with the table, the sheets and the towels, set up in seven to ten minutes and need about three square metres of free floor. The sheets and towels are mine: sterilised, and each one used only once before being sterilised again.
When it is not the choice
Swelling on one side only, with calf pain, redness or a fever, is a reason to see a doctor before booking any massage.
Where massage is not advisable for a medical condition, I only work with a signed medical clearance. After surgery I start from seven days, also with signed medical authorisation.
Like contouring on its own, this session works over a run of appointments. Once alone does little.
